Mr. Poling's signature sound has had many commercial manifestations: classical strings composed for Mercedes Benz, punchy pop for Barbie, a lush tango for Best Buy, and many more. The New Standards' versions of  "Toxic" and "Watching The Detectives" were used for stunning set pieces in Macy's Glamorama. The Suburbs "Rattle My Bones" was the soundtrack for an award-winning spot for Target. The inspiring song "Love Is The Law", was effectively used in television, web and social media in galvanizing the push towards Marriage Equality in 2013 - and also used in a classic "Roseanne" episode and in 2016 for the spooky TV show “Dead of Summer”. "Music For Boys" was heard for many years on the soap-opera "All of My Children". ETC.
